Facebook

I have had a Facebook account for a while so I sometimes get requests to be a facebook friend. I usually accept but feel bad because I am never on Facebook.

Maybe you can help me - why do you Facebook?

  1. I use it for networking purposes and having served in several churches as a youth pastor I've connected with former students using it.

  2. I'm on mine only long enough to accept a friend request. Mine refers everyone to MySpace or my blog. The application requests irritate me something fierce. MySpace has started adding them now - grrr!

I have been found by a lot of old HS friends and one friend I was desparate to find for a long time. It was worth it.

I did have a rumor control issue over the summer that got out of hand. Facebook is like a wildfire!

  3. I have a Facebook account, MySpace and Twitter that I never use. I don't get the deal with any of them. Maybe it's because I have no friends :(

    Peace,
    Brian

  5. How do you even find someone one Twitter?

Honestly, I sign up for these things because other people tell me what great fun they are. Then, I never log in. I did enjoy the music game on Facebook where you guess the title of the song or the artist. That's about the most fun I've had on them.

  8. My facebook is just an empty shell. I use it only to stay up to date with 3 friends who live abroad. I just like to know what is going on in their lives even though we hardly talk.

  9. Until recently I pretty much ingored my Facebook but one friend uses it to email me rather than normal email because she feels its more private.

I have found/been found by old friends from HS, former co-workers, etc. Its been fun. I accept most applications people send but there's only one thing I use:

Battle of the Bands! I have never gotten into any type of virtual game before, its been fun for me cause I'm a Rocker. :)

  10. Like some have mentioned, mainly to keep up with friends from former places of ministry. Don't get to see them often, and Facebook is a great way to keep up without the awkward pause that comes 3 minutes into a conversation when you realize you no longer have anything to talk about.

  11. I facebook to stay in touch with friends and relatives....and to play Scrabble! We are playing scrabble with friends from North Carolina and Arizona. It is a fun way to foster our relationship even with great distances between us! I also love seeing my friends pictures, etc. Makes me feel like I am not missing out on so much!
