Obama on Responsibility

Just a one minute clip from Barack Obama's speech to the NAACP conference in Cincinnati. It is a great message.. you can watch the whole message here.

  1. As my wife pointed out tonight,"He is too good to be true". I think Obama's message is really good and he is a gifted speaker. I guess the only thing that remains to be seen is if he really has all of this in his heart and if he can unite enough of the government to actually make some of these huge changes.
I think he is dead on at identifying the problem. Only time will tell if he can actually help fix any of the problem..
    Peace

  2. Good message ~~ If we want our children to be responsible, and have moral values...it's got to start at HOME, with mom and dad being that kind of role models!!

We do have a problem and we need to get back to families being families.

    Good word Bob!!

  3. This guys is full of it. Ultimately, he doesn't think you are responsible enough to be responsible. Obama and his party are in no way in favor of individual responsibility. Expanding the role of government in healthcare, education, and other entitlements does not promote responsibility.

  5. On behalf of Karen, experience accomplishing anything but getting elected and choosing bad friends. I mean the guy has nothing to hang his hat on. I think I did more in student council in highschool than he has done, and I never held a position.

  6. If you are interested in Obama's accomplishments you can check out this 3 minute video. Not sure what McCain had acomplished by the time he was in his forties.. but I am open to hearing about his feats of strength :)

I actually do like McCain and might vote for him.. just waiting, watching and praying.

  7. I don't like either candidate, but Obama scares me. This will be the first time I voted against a candidate that legitimately scares me and the future of my children. Supreme Court Nominees, immigration, healthcare, terrorism, energy.

  8. I understand where you are coming from Scott.. both candidates have some scary aspects.. McCain's hawkish positions on the middle east (remember bomb, bomb, bomb, bomb Iran) are a bit scary as well.

  9. I'm a libertarian. I think Government is a giant wall between people and faith and their reliance on God. Isn't it interesting that as the Government grows, we become more spiritually void. My choice comes down to a man for which Government is the answer to every problem and he needs your money to do it or a person who feels that government is the answer to many problems and it is okay to print money to solve it.

  12. I don't know if we have any fiscal conservatives any more Scott.. the government seems to grow (and grow) regardless of which party has a majority.. sad that our balanced budget has turned into such an immense deficit under a "conservative" president and (for the most part) a Republican majority in the congress.
