The Air is not Free

Anybody remember the days when compressed air at a gas station was free? Any more you have to pop a few quarters into the compressor to fill your tires. I carry a portable car battery powered compressor around with me for just such occasions.

How about you? Do you regularly check your tires? Where do you fill them up?

  1. I've carried a cigarette lighter powered air compressor around with me forever. I have valve stem covers that are green when properly inflated and slowly turn red when they get too low.

  4. The place where I bought my tires will check them any time I want. They also repair any flats and rotate them for free.
