Palm Gizmos

I was wondering.. with the advent of iPhones, Blackberrys and Smart Phones (I have one) does anyone out there still use a Palm Pilot.. or some other device that is not also a phone? Or do you write on your palm?

  1. I'm old-fashioned, I twist up little notes and stick them in my key ring, or tuck a note into the door handle in the car, or post-it a note right back the front door lock.

  2. You are too funny TZ! I must admit though that I do similar things with post-it notes.. I just can't do it all on my phone.. yet :)

  3. I use 3x5 lined cards. They fit nicely in my shirt pocket and stack nicely on my desk - amongst all of the other stuff that stacks nicely on my desk. Then , every once in awhile I go through all of them and glean just the important stuff, write it on fresh 3x5s and toss the old ones. The new go on a different stack, 'tier two'. Then, after even longer periods I glean what I deem most important off the tire twos, write these down on more fresh 3x5s, toss the old tier twos and put the new on the 'tier three' pile right at the edge of the desk, near the waste basket. Then, when my wife dusts my desk, tier three always kind of gets pushed off and accidently end up in the trash.
Then ... hey, anybody have a palm pilot for sale - cheap?

  4. I use a piece of paper and a pen or a pencil.
    Works great. Never breaks.

  5. I use my hand at work all the time. I love how it freaks folks out to see me writing stuff down like that, they start looking for paper. I go home with all kinds of things written on me. So yepper I use the real deal palm.

  7. Oh and me, I cross my fingers a lot. I don't have a system other than the meat computer God gave me. I did have a Palm Treo for a while, but I needed to get a company phone and keeping my Treo wasn't an option. I could probably get a Blackberry, but I really don't want one. I'm holding out for an iPhone.
