Manliest Cities

Here is the top 10 from a list of the "Top 50 Manliest Cities" according to a snack-food study released Thursday that ranks cities on criteria such as the number of professional major league sports teams, popularity of tools and hardware, and frequency of monster truck rallies:
  1. Nashville, TN
  2. Charlotte, NC
  3. Oklahoma City, OK
  4. Cincinnati, OH
  5. Denver, CO
  6. St. Louis, MO
  7. Columbus, OH
  8. Kansas City, MO
  9. Indianapolis, IN
  10. Toledo, OH
Interestingly most of these places are in the Midwest.. my local KC is #8. The Governator's San Francisco and Los Angeles came in 48 and 49th proving they are girly-cities. New York City came in 50th.. guess they have never been to Brooklyn.

Did your city make the list? Where did it place?

  1. How come the US of A fills out the top ten spots? What about Reykjavík?

  2. Obviously the only reason my town didn't make #1 (or the list) is because it is too small to qualify as a "city." My residence should be enough to blow the competition away. :)

I did live near Charlotte for a while. That's probably what pushed them up near the top!

  3. My little city didn't make it but The City made third. You'd know why if you've been there lately.

  4. Thanks to our Gov. California will always be known as "girly".
What a crazy poll. It shows you can prove anything by taking a survey...

  8. Dude, I was born in Toledo, went to college in Cincinnati and now live in Columbus. In fact, all but about 4 years of my life was spent in them or their metro areas. Most of those 4 years was spent in the Detroit area, #20 (I lived in NYC, #50, for 3 months)

I suddenly feel so manly. :-D
