Go Jayhawks!!

April 7 Update: Who knew when I posted this over a week ago that we would be going for all the marbles tonight against a seemingly invincible Memphis. Well.. after our sound beating of UNC on Saturday.. I am optimistic!

  1. Bob,

I picked them to win my pool. Gotta admit that was the only reason I rooted for them yesterday because I always root for the underdog. Davidson gave them a run for their money!

Congrats on making it to the Final Four. I'm with you in hoping they go all the way. It's worth a whole $30 to me. ;-)

    Peace,
    Brian

  3. Bob,
Congrats on a great run. Those Jayhawks are very good. This might be the best Final Four ever.

  4. Thanks to the Jayhawks, I won my pool. No one in my neighborhood picked them to get into the final game. And, no one picked Memphis to win. So, I closed it out on Saturday. LOL.

Both games Saturday were fascinating. Kansas came out playing I think the best defensive 10 or 15 minutes I've ever seen in college basketball. But, I thought Kansas looked totally flustered early in the 2nd Half. I fully expected them to lose when NC pulled within 10.

I have no prediction for tonight's game. Both Memphis and Kansas looked awesome Saturday. Memphis was more consistent. But, then we had to know that North Carolina was going to make a big run. And, Kansas was playing at an inhuman pace early in the game.

Good luck to the Jayhawks tonight.

Thanks for stopping bye and the very encouraging words. They were very needed.

  6. I'll chime in here as the UNC fan; I almost thought that they would pull off the miracle comeback -- guess they just ran out of gas. Good luck in the game tonight; should be a great one.

  7. What a game. I almost turned it off and went to bed early when Kansas was down by 9.

I feel bad for Memphis though. Missing those free throws at the end will always haunt them. But, the Jayhawks played a great game and never gave up.

Your son coming home and a national championship all in the same day. Wow. You must be overflowing, Bob.

    Peace,
    Brian

  8. It as a great game Brian. I watched it with my civilian son. Near perfect.. if only my wife wasn't having such trouble in the hospital.
