This cartoon reminded me about how much spin is entrenched in our culture. I think that maybe Henry Kissinger was one of the first modern day spinners when he said:It is not a matter of what is true that counts, but a matter of what is perceived to be true.Here are a few definitions that I found:
Spin: (slang) a particular viewpoint or bias, esp. in the media; slantHere is my acrostic style definition:
Spin: a distinctive interpretation (especially as used by politicians to sway public opinion)
