I would think that embracing a view of God would be more of an active process.. perhaps I could have titled the post Passive Deism.

But the idea that I have tried to show here is the passivity of an assent to a "Prime Mover" and how crazy it is to label this "God".kc bobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17440862813109808755noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-749955731953911627.post-17746630032136976532009-02-19T10:21:00.000-06:002009-02-19T10:21:00.000-06:00Well, yes and no. You seemed to have believed that. Some deists may offer occasional prayers of thanks for creation, but that is actually pretty rare nowadays.

In fact, one of the main activity of modern deism is to make people like your younger self realize that they, too, are deists.sidfaiwuhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14632853611878173799noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-749955731953911627.post-17543230039197771642009-02-19T09:42:00.000-06:002009-02-19T09:42:00.000-06:00Thx guys. I think Deists probably pray.. or at least think about God.. my flavor was very passive.. hence the practical agnosticism aspect.kc bobhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17440862813109808755noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-749955731953911627.post-76844152904223476042009-02-19T08:06:00.000-06:002009-02-19T08:06:00.000-06:00Hello Kansas Bob,The theological position you desc...Hello Kansas Bob,

The theological position you describe is often called deism.
