Bacteria, ATMs and Public Toilets

This ATM keypad looks a bit dirty but not quite as dirty as a toilet. This article says "the bacteria we detected on ATMs were similar to those from the toilet". Talk about dirty money!

Color me grossed out.

  1. Ewwwwwww! I don't use the ATM all that much, but now I may avoid it all together. That or carry hand sanitizer in my truck. :)

  2. Our bodies are fearfully and wonderfully made. We have enough antibodies to take care of the bacteria. I'm not worried, and you shouldn't be either.

  3. That's why I carry wipes... So glad at least the grocery stores when we shop have wipes as you enter...

Yes Bob, pretty gross subject! HaHa

  4. Thanks all for the feedback and advice. Good thoughts about the sanitizer/wipes. With Ann's suppressed immune system we are pretty careful during flu season.
